Water levels on LOW?

3 posts in this topic

How are the water levels? Will be up next week and was just wondering. Same as the last couple of years? Higher? Lower? Also any tips on jig color choices or other tackle and any areas producing. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a trophy size fish this year (catch and release), Bragging Rights Baby!!

Thanks in advance for any info, Dave.

A group of us fished Monday and Tuesday, mainly out of the river, but spent a half day on the lake as well. We caught our limit for the days, but the mornings on the river was our best bet on various jig colors, gold, silver, orange.

Water levels were said to be down about a foot. Best of luck! Happy Fishing.

Most of our fish came on minnows under bobbers. I spooked countless fish with even subtle jigging.

I never made it out Monday was too tired from fishing Friday - sunday didn't feel like getting up early

Hey, Here a quick update on actual ice thickness or snow cover on trout. 14 inchs of ice pressure ridge out there. if you are  on a snowmobile if traveling fast on it watch for it. Truck or car i do not recommend on trout with pressure ridge. And yes i have been on the whitefish chain this year in truck. just not on trout. just my 2 cents
