Angle Reports?

Recommended Posts

It's a pretty quiet time of year, but are there any Angle reports out there? This is the first summer that I've been away from the Big Pond and haven't been home to do any "research" myself. Where are those walleye? Thanks for any help!

Aaron, no wonder I have'nt seen the Laker boat on the pond yet this year! Hope you are gettin some time in out on the water wherever you are?

Was N on Tuesday doing the rigger thing, darn good fishing/catching. 75% of the charter fleet musta been fishing up there out in front of Selvigs, I counted at least 24 launches that afternoon up there. We worked 29-30 fow, lots of sorting out of the small fries, lot's of nice keepers in the mix and some low slotters to toss back.

Worked a few of the rockpiles yesterday out of Rocky, longlining the big plugs looking for them BIG girls. Great day, lot's of dandy keepers, lot's of fish in the low to mid slot, a coupla horses and a Walrus!!!

Thanks for the report Fisky, those pictures of your trip were amazing. I haven't been able to do too much fishing this summer, a little smally action around St. Cloud when I've been there. Otherwise, it's been a pretty dry summer. I'll be back Sunday for a few weeks, it would be great to get you and DB to teach me a few of your tricks!

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!

I agree on the choices.   I didn't mean to say that a battery auger was better or greener or whatever.  I could care less about that.   It just seems that "most" ice anglers have made a switch to a battery auger in recent years.  That's all I was saying.  I know about a dozen people who regularly ice fish and they all have battery augers now.  I bet if you conducted a survey of all ice anglers, the majority would answer that they use a battery powered auger.

Best weed eater I've ever run with great longevity is Echo, I'd check them out

Hey government,  Just give us choices. I don’t care what people use as long as as it works for you. I’m needing a new weed eater. Plan on a Stihl FS 40 easy start. I’m done with the cheaper brands. Just don’t last long enough.  Probably true with the Stormy Daniels of the world as well. Cheaper don’t last long enough 🤭

If you turn on a movie they survive the 20min ride just fine. After many controlled experiments, I've found that they survive much better if you show "Finding Nemo" instead of "Jaws."
