new forum requests

4 posts in this topic

i haven't really found a specifc spot to request new forums, so here it goes. my brother moved to duluth a couple of years ago and he has talked to me about taking up flyfishing. i have told him repeatedly about this site, but i don't see him joining. he is a runner first, hiker second, camper third, and hasn't fished in years.

so in short, is there a possibility of a running/hiking/backpacking forum? is there already something similar that i am just missing?

thanks cool.gif

There is a biking and a camping fourm. Not really to the (Contact Us Please) what you are looking for, but a starter.

Try using the "Contact Us" feature. That works well for questions to staff.

Backpacking and hiking discussion shows up quite a bit in the camping and the canoeing forums since they kinda cross with the Boundary Waters types here in MN.

I am really fond of those things so you'll find me in those areas. Check it out.

Nice thats what I like to hear, was doing an annual trip to LOW with my buddies, but to be quite honest biggest fish I ever saw in 10 plus trips was 27 inches, I caught 3 bigger than that on the pond last year, and hey I can stay in Wright county where I live and catch 10 inch walleyes.. I don't make it up to that end of the lake ever, usually fish the south end..Bought a wheel house this year, would loke to set it up as base camp and hopefully be able to head up toward that end and do some exploring..And thanks for the input, thinking there is a lot of readers and not many writers on this site nowadays...

Lake Marion is completely iced over. Hopefully we won't get much snow and be fishing soon.

Silver lake in New Brighton is iced over. I'm going to count one week before checking thickness on my early ice spots. Could be fishing next Friday if all goes well.
