Which landing? There both good. You shouldn't have a problem.

I would probably go out of the one by the hatchery. I have a boat that needs 3' of water. So would the access still be ok?

I spent a six days fishing on Tetonka and the fishing was good. During the week, I boated around 70 walleyes ranging from 14" - 23". All catch/release except a couple for meals. Like others have said it was a leech bite in the edge of weeds in 9-11'. Also, hit main lake bars with shiners and that was productive too. Water temp was at 62 when I started the week and ended up around 66.

I night fished two nights in a row and just had a blast. Each night I would have about 15 bites and land 6-7 walleyes (smaller ones) with one being around 17". Each night landed one smallie around 4lbs. and some northerns bit after dark, too. I did not think they bit after dark?

All in all, just a fabulous trip again this year. Here is what I learned the most.

Nightcrawler = Sheephead

Leeches = Walleyes, Northers, & sheephead

Shiners = Walleyes & Northerns

(no big secret here)

I'll post a pic or two once I get that figured out. You guys/gals are very lucky to have such good walleye fishing right out your back door.

Until next year.....or maybe later this year if I can get up there again.

Clam - Thanks, and one of the pure highlights of the trip was the very first day going out to where I finished last year and luckily enough the walleyes were in the same spot. Caught/released five or six and then ran back to get wife/daughter. For the next two hours she got to experience a jig bite like she never had before. It was quite fun watching her set the hook and fight/reel them in. That day she will never forget and I won't either.
