Is anybody interested in fishing the UPLR finale event this Saturday. If I can generate some interest, I will search for safe ice. Email me or reply here if your interested.

Last nights rain and the 50 some degree temps probably is gonna put the kabosh on another ice outing. Isn't most the ice we got now nothing more than compacted slush? I would think it's pretty saturated by now. confused.gif

I'd agree that ice fishing is probably over.

On a side note, Dan, that is the biggest puppy I have ever seen.

Maybe we should do a Silver Lake thing? Instead of ice.

I agree that it probably won't be safe ice on Saturday. I just heard it could be close to 60 degrees! I would still be up for some fishing if anyone wants to go. It would be a shame to not enjoy this weather.

With a sadden heart, I’m going to let this thread die and start a new one for UPLR open water events. It’s been a great first ice season for us and I look forward to the next hard water UPLR season.

Thanks everybody!

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
