The weeds are going up and the water is going down

To be honest, the heat and the mosquitoes are making me think that I will wait until September.

that bad huh? I havent put a boat in yeat this year. I just bought a older crestliner boat and just repaired the transom and built a trailer for it. I was hoping to hear better report but yet it gives me some more time to finish the project. Cant wait for them Fall Eyes on waska.

yea we really need some rain here, but i have heard some reports of bass biteing while fishing for walleye. the pan fish have been doing good on both ends of the lake along the weed lines.

Anybody been out there after dark? Sometimes weve done real well when its hot like this by putting in at like 10:30 at night and fishing till midnight 1:00.

If I make it through the week in this heat I hope to try it at night this weekend. I will let you know how it goes. I am going to try something different also. I am going to try jigging the weed line for walleyes and see how that goes. I have never done much jigging so it will be something new for me.

This weekend will be extremely busy on the lake, even at night with the fireworks Saturday night during Waterama. Might even be out there myself...

It has been slow. I kept three about a week and half ago. Other than that it has been one here, two there and they have been to small.

I have done real well pulling walleye divers real slow at the 14-17 mark with heavier line(10#-12#) just to tickle the weed tops late at night. Havent gotten to try it this year yet though. Some nights they mingle their way up into 4-6 feet of water and the really small(Hinged-Billed) shad raps seem to do the trick for me.
