I love this forum. It's great some of you guys are willing to take out a fellow fisherman (or gal).

I always seem to have a friend go, but will keep this in mind when flying solo.

I plan on going musky fishing tomorrow night and have an open seat. I haven't decided on the lake yet, but it will be around the metro area. I may also go try French. E-mail me hunterjoe78 at yahoo dot com.

Wondering if anyone might be interested in fish spring lake near prior lake wednesday for a tourney? The reason i am posting so many is that my original fishing partner got hurt and don't know when he can return to the fishing scene again. There fun little tournaments with 15 boats and cash awards for top three places and big bass of the night. any interest in any of the tourneys i have posted please contact [email protected]

I am going to be hitting one of the north metro lakes (Probably Fish, but possibly Medicine or Eagle) Saturday morning and will have an open seat.

Probably going for an early start, on the water about 6:30 or 7:00.

e-mail me at jcater02-at-hotmail.com if interested.

If anyone's interested, I'll have an open seat this afternoon. Probably head out around 4 in the canoe. Aim for a small south metro lake.

I am wondering if someone would like to take me out one day if they have an open seat? I was out on Minnetonka on 8/3 and rented from Howards Marina. It was nice but being I am transitioning from panfish to game fish (walleye, bass, etc), i am learning on my own and don't have "great" knowledge of everything.

Anyone care to mentor me once on how to use appropriate rigs? I am 30 years old, mature, currently laid off from Finance industry and looking to make a new friend.

<Any lake would work, I can meet you somewhere, bring food, gas, etc)

Thanks!

Shoot me an email. I'm curious where exactly you are in Minneapolis since I'm near Lake Nokomis myself. If I ever have an empty spot in the boat I'd be more than willing to take you out. acarrell at gmail dot com

If you are interested Mas, I may have one open seat in my boat on Saturday at 4:30 AM. I'm heading to the croix for some eyes, not sure if you are into river fishing or not.

I should know by tomorrow if the seat is open or not, waiting to hear back from someone I work with. They say it "may be too early". Sheeeeeesh, it's never too early for fishin.

Its never too early or too late to go fishing. Its never too hot or too cold to go fishing. And today it can't rain too hard to go fishing. (unless there lightening in that rain.)

Stop and say hi if you get out there. I'll be out plenty earlier than that with a couple other guys who rarely get to fish, so just hoping to show them a good time. We'll be in a tan Polarkraft w/ a 70hp Yamaha on it.

Did you have any luck?     I got a bird but didn’t really do much for pics worth showing.

It depends on a lot of factors, I suppose.   I hung on to my last gas auger for a few years after getting into electric but I never used it so I finally sold it.  Haven’t missed it one bit.  You bet it was reliable though.  Still started on the second pull for the new owner.   After trying several options in the electric world, I’m currently settled on a Strikemaster 40V with Liteflight bits.  With 2 fully charged batteries, I fish all day in Canada, cutting 10 inch holes.     What I’ll agree with is, if you search by drilling and flasher sonar, you will probably be more comfortable with the run time of a gas auger.  When you start incorporating GPS mapping, forward facing sonar, and saved waypoints, you don’t need to Swiss cheese every spot you fish.  I can still run through both batteries when the fishing isn’t great but I never feel like I have to count my holes.  It’s more like: Did I need the second battery before the middle part of our fishing hours?  If I still can’t catch fish after running out 2 batteries, it doesn’t matter cuz the fish just ain’t biting.   That’s fishing on the dark side! 😉

Yep, that's where I was🤪. Best fish were way up in the shallow boulders...   And.....if the 3 or 4 people that read this want to fish it.... go right ahead😁😏  My bass spots are no secret....trophy panfish spots, that's another story🤪
