Landing in I'falls

Recommended Posts

Would someone be able to confirm if the landing is open behind the holiday Inn on the Rainy River to the Dam for a large boat? Thanks! I am thinking about wetting a line soon. Thanks!

Just drove down there last week and it doesn't look like it's been plowed all winter.

Thanks for the response. What did the river look like? Is theres still ice infront of that landing? Snow is pretty deep? No way to land a boat? Thanks!

HI P.G.,

I HEARD SOME IDIOT KID TRIED TO DRIVE DOWN THERE, GOT STUCK...BIG TIME. I HEARD HIM ASKING FOR A STRAP FROM SOMEONE AT THE BOWLING ALLEY, AND HE SAID THE COPS TOLD HIM, IF HE DIDN'T GET IT OUT OF THERE, HE WOULD BE FINED 5 GRAND, NOT SURE IF HE IS IN THE WATER, THE ICE EDGE OR STILL ON LAND, JUST KNOW HE WAS STUCK.

SINCERELY,

FISHMEISTER

I had looked Tuesday (Shorewood drive)and noticed someone had plowed the snowbank from the grader right at the entrance of the landing.

Downstream at Pelland Junction, the road is plowed to the top of the hill/ramp..... there was a skim of ice locked down across the whole river there.
