Jolly Fisherman Resort

My family is planning on moving our summer vacation to the Park Rapids area and are seriously considering staying at the Jolly Fisherman Resort...

Has anyone ever stayed there? Had a good experience?

Nice resort, never fished the lake though. We have a hunting shack on Round, which is not too far. I wouldn't recommend that either...Very tough lake to fish

I have stayed at the Jolly Fisherman for a number of years. Very nice resort with alot of activities for the kids. My parents started going to the resort in 1952 and I have continued the tradition up until last year. I now own a cabin next to the Jolly Fisherman on the same side of the lake. In fact the owners of Jolly helped me find this place. Sorry I got on a tangent.

Elbow Lake has been kind of hard to fish as of lately. I think it is more of the fact that it is so large and there is so many places to fish and I do not get enough time to search around. Anyway the Jolly is a very good place to stay.
