Late ice bites??

Recommended Posts

Well has anyone been out lately in the area catching any panfish?? With the weather being nice, and the forecast looking like upper 30's to 40's and rain this week the ice is going to get crappy quick. I havent been out too much. Fished Marion on the north end Saturday, me and buddy caught 25-30 crappies, with only 3 or 4 being keepable (10-12")- Lots of small fish 7-9".

I saw ripley and greenleaf in the outdoor news for sunfish, anyone been out there with a report??

Just curious to see if anyones been having any luck!

Caught 10 Friday night, one 9" crappie, the rest were 10-12" and one 8" sunnie. Went out to the same spot on Saturday with a bunch of buddies and caught 15, smallest being 9" and biggest being just over 14". We actually got 2 over 14". I was using a 1/16 oz red go devil with a whole minnow when I got the 14". They really started showing up on the vexilars when we were packing up right before it started snowing Saturday night, kind of wish we would have stayed.
