Planning on going out to Washington in a few hours and just wondering what the ice is like. Able to drive a full size truck or is walking the better idea. Thanks

I just got off the phone with Westwood 1/2 hour ago. They informed me the ice was 18" - 19" and their launch is still in good shape.

Haven't been out to washington yet this year. I want to fish in Linder Bay for some crappies. Just wondering what is the best way to drive out there? Are people driving through the narrows? Or do I have to drive from the North access? Is there a better way to get there? Thanks

I personally would not drive through the narrows. It wasnt that long ago that the water was open for a ways. The north landing is good, you just have to drive around the ice heave that is almost always there.

Had a decent outing this evening.....a lot of sunfish and a few crappies. Fish were very lite biters today and pretty picky....put if you keep throwing new things at them they decided to bite. Did best of a white with red dot with a grub. Fished near first point in about 12 feet of water and then moved in Bakers in about 17 ft. I would stay away from the narrows....there were actually geese sitting in the open water near the point. Westwood access is pretty good yet.
