Very Old Gun

Would anyone know where I might find information on an old gun. The minimal research I have done with this gun says it was from Poland - all in foreign writing. I can try to post a picture on here if it would help.

The paperwork with is like in german?? English piece says something like...

Made in 1863 during the January ?? uprising of Poland against Russia.

Given as a gift by Dar Jozeta S. in 1918

Model of pistol can be found in the museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw. The firing barrel is 24 cm??? the caliber is 12mm

It is a fire cap detonator pistol from 1863 made by warsaw gun maked J. Stapfa. There is a word on the barrell it says

WISLOCKI

Does not seem to have any rifiling in the barrel at all. There is a ram rod of some sort attached.

Its Polish alright! I am not sure if I know anyone that can decide what the gun is and its value. However I know a couple of people that can maybe help you with the history and any Polish related questions.

Thanks! Would love to know the history and maybe what value it might be for insurance purposes. I actually bought this gun for $100 about six months ago. I could scan the sheet with polish writing if someone could translate.

I just translated it with a friend of mine, it says " the buyer of this gun just wasted a hundred bucks, this item is made in China with the finest plastic resins"

Just kidding...I couldn't resist..

It is an awesome gun, and I am sure it has a good value, and I'de really like to know the history of it...let us know what you find out.
