Tell your friend that I feel his pain...I had a honest to goodness 2.6 oz crappie. Gave it to a guy to have mounted and he skipped town with mine and others mounts! mad.gif I may never see one of those again. It was something like 16 1/2 inches! I am still sick about it! The one in the avatar is a 15 incher (released)

True story. I had a deer head in to be mounted with a reclusive guy that did taxidermy on his part time over in Door County when I was 15. Long story short, some kids thought they would scare the guy and shot a rifle through his window above him when he was sitting at the kitchen table. The bullet fragments and hits him in the head. The wound leaves him unconcious on the kitchen table but it clots and stops bleeding. The kids never called the cops and they came looking for him when he was a no show at work after a few days. Guy was still alive but ended up dying. We got the head back after a couple of months and had to work through the police officers. That is my crazy taxidermist story. I have another head in now so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck getting your crap. back.

cyber i am sorry to hear that. I bet he sold them when he got them mounted i heard it is like a black market for that stuff from my cousin. He has had people try to break in and steal antlers but keeps those locked up. I would like to break the 2 pound mark but i got 1#10oz 1#9oz and 1#8 oz from ely that i got mounted by my friend and i thought those were big.
