I am also wondering about the ice...planning on checking things out monday afternoon. Quick question too...what is the deal with parking in the park, do I need to pay, I have never been out there when you couldn't drive out, just curious?

I thought I'd go give it a look today. A few brave souls out there. I walked out a bit form the park. Found lot's of slush under the snow. Drilled a hole and found about 3-4 inches. Decided to wait.

You better pay to park the parking lots are checked every half to hour and half. the pay box is also harder then heck to find when there is alot of snow like there is now. It is right behind the booth as you drive in. Later in the year you get thru with out paying and park on the ice or drive out. MAKE SURE THERE IS PLENTY OF ICE BEFORE YOU DO! Good Luck

I don't think you have to pay for parking anymore. I do know you didnt have to pay this past summer. You also can park on Independence road on the West Side of the lake.

If i'm not mistaking that that is part of the Three Rivers Park Distrect that is the samr that controlls the parkiong at Medicine Lake RIGHT? You dont have to pay Mon - Thurs till 5 in the summer i know at medicine. Just be careful its only a $20 ticket and it dosent go on your recored

Three Rivers Park District eliminated parking fees for 2005 with the exception of vehicles with trailers.
