Has anyone ventured out on to St. James Lake yet? Would like to know the ice conditions.

Heard people were out there with pretty good luck with the panfish! I heard this about this past Sat. so who knows now!

Can someone give me an acctual how much ice? Anyone know first hand how it's been? ice not fishing.

I fished St. James this morning. The ice was around 6" everywhere I drilled. The sunfish were pretty agressive. I also caught a few bass and crappie. Ratsos caught too many small fish so I used a 1/16 oz jigging spoon to target the bigger sunfish. Biggest fish, beside the bass and crappies, was a 9 1/5 inch pumkinseed/hybrid.
