Was out on WBL monday and tuesday night. The fishing was good on monday night but a little slower on tuesday night during the snow. Was a lot of work dragging the portable off the lake this morning...need a night off. It looked like some open water in one small area over by the boat launch near Manitou island (100-150 yards out from the bridge). Didn't want to get to close to check it out. I wouldn't be driving any vehicles on WBL for awhile if at all this winter.

I was out in front of the VFW last night. Pulled my quick flip 2 about 480 feet from where I parked. The pull sucked. Very smooth ice covered with either 8" of heavy snow or the ice was covered with an inch or so of slush and then the snow. I should have worn my spikes but I left them at home.

It's supposed to get cold which will freeze the snow and that will make the pulling easier.

I saw plenty of fish on the camera and LX3 but very few takers. I had one bite off on a crappie minnow, had one small northern try very hard to take my chubbie darter but could never fully hit it (that was fun to watch on the camera! There was one VERY large northern that came by to say hi but she just kept on moving.

I'm going to wait a few days before I get back out there. I didn't like the abount of water by my holes.
