Clearwater area ice

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I'm heading down to Limestone or Sugar for my 30th tomorrow and I'm wondering, which would be better to ice some pike? Also, how thick is the ice on these two lakes? I noticed there's a sign at the Limestone landing that says the lake is aerated. Does anyone know whereabouts on the lake this aeration takes place so I don't venture out onto skinny ice? Also, anyone know of where I can pick up some decent sized shiners? All they have in St. Cloud are little guys. Thanks for any help and have a safe weekend out on what should be most of everyone's first ice outing!
