I was wondering if anyone has ever tried the rock pile in Round Lake. Productive or not? I have fished the shallow humps off the Ojibwa access with decent success for walleyes, however, I am also looking for a good crappie spot on Round as well. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to a great year on the ice.

Round has some jumbo crappies swimming there. Traditionally they hang out on some of the deeper mid lake humps. It may take some searching but when you find them they are big. We are talking red lake plus size.

The rock pile can hold fish at times but typically doesn't receive much angling attention. I think it is one of those spots that can be a hidden gem. Work your way around out on the tips of points and inside turns of this piece and see if you connect. The rock pile has a ton of nice looking structure. Good Luck!

There are 2 access points. There is a public access on the south end off of Ojibwa Rd. or people also walk out from the highway.
