I was planning on hitting the lake this friday, possibly the A-frame, its been extrememly cold the past couple days, does anybody know how much ice is out there and if there has been anyone out fishing. Just want to know if it is possible to head out that way by friday or if i should have a different lake in mind. thanks

I was fishing in the channel Sunday and ice was about 2" I did walk toward the main lake end (Chisago) and no go Ice was very thin! It is cold and may be by this weekend but as of Monday no one had been out to the "A" frame area yet that I could see.

Talked to my dad on monday and he had said that there were about 4 guys out fishing the south end of chisago.

there are a couple of guys on the south end right now. I know a guy who can see the a frame andhe said last night a couple of guys walked out there with a spud bar.. and WALKED BACK VERY FAST!!! Hard to say what a few days will do.. but its not safe on the main lake yet!
