Best ice fishing reel?

I will be upgrading a few reels this winter and was wondering what you guys use and/or feel are top notch ice fishing reels. I have one Tica Cetus and wonder if I should purchase more or look elsewhere??

The Tica Cetis is a great little reel. I also run some Shimano Sedona 500's and those 2 reels seem to get the most use from me. Gander has some smaller reels out this year that look nice and the Californian reels are great for the price.

I use the Gander Mountian line, but go with one that has 5 or 7 BB. I also like the Abu 100u. I use it as a light summer reel and then put it on my ice rod.....

I've used about every reel possible for ice fishing and for the best cold weather spinning reel you can't beat the diawa laguna. I've had abu's freeze up on me the most followed by ticas. If you like to move around and fish outside the shack invest in a good Shimano or Daiwa. If you spend most of your time inside a warm icehouse then you may not need a high end reel. For my dead stick I prefer a small baitcast reel because they have super smooth drags and the line coil is not a problem.

I am with Northlander, it is hard to beat the Tica reels, The new Shimano 750's are nice also.

These might not be the "BEST" reels out there, but I picked up a couple HT's To try this year. 6-Ball Bearings, very smooth, and look good. The best part for me, is they only ran me about $15 bucks a piece. Just my two cents.

I absolutely love my Tica SB500s.

The 500 sized Shimano's are a close 2nd for me if not tied for being my favorite.

Once I'm spending over $50 on an ice fishing reel, I'm going strictly with Shimano.

Hanson my bud.. try and get your hands on one of the new 750 size reels shimano has out.. I got a bunch (6) of the sedonas for ice fishing this year.. I used a couple on open water rods and cant wait to get them on the ice...
