Truck Rental

bassin

Question

If a guy was to buy a boat 1200 miles away is there a place around here to rent a truck to go get it? I know most places rent SUV's and trucks but most don't have hitches. I really dont want to put 2400 miles on my truck in a weekend.

Thanks.

I tried to find somewhere when I bought my boat in KY. I was unable to find a place that rented something with a hitch so I ended up using my own truck. At least it was a more comfortable ride.

When you rent you will get 1 tank of gas for free and you will pay by the mile. That would be a whole lot of money to spare your vehicle.

If you drive your own vehicle you pay the same in gas and don't pay per mile. That will be an expensive tow. You might as well hire someone who does it for a living.

Bassin- what a conicidence- I also am buying a boat from out of state- only 800 miles though. It never crossed my mind to rent, it is really expensive. We rented a suburban to drive the same distance as the boat I am buying and it was an extra $400 for a long weekend. (The only reason we rented a suburban if for the seating space, 6 guys).

Are you going to pick up the boat this weekend?

If you see a Sequoia pulling a triton up I-35 honk and wave. wink.gif
