How safe is it???

We are going to brave the elements and head to Winnie in the morning. Is the ice safe enough for 4-wheeler travel? Which end of the lake has better ice, the north or the south. I am currently planning on fishing the north side. Anybody have any suggestions for some afternoon walleyes?

My buddy was up at winnie yesterday, and said there was a solid 10 inches in the north middle of the lake. He was fishing out on a hump.

You should be OK with wheelers. It does vary. We found as little as 5 and as much as nine on saturday. This was three quarters of a mile apart.
