Big Lake - Richmond area

Does anybody know what has happend to this lake in the years past? I grew up fishing it and know ALL the spots very well. I open up on it yearly. The last few years the eyes have been cigars with a few decent fish thrown in. The average is way down and the number caught per outing was not impressive. I know in the past 10 years the pressure has grown and in turn the fish have been harder to catch. Maybe I don't know ALL the spots anymore.

I fish league during the summer and there were some decent walleyes brought in but not many. We don't fish eyes to much though. The lake continues to impress me though, every year we catch very nice bass with at least one at 20 inches, the northerns aren't bad, and we catch some really nice bluegills. But as for the eyes, from what I have heard, they are down, but they must have had a good reaproductive year about 2 years ago with all of those cigars. Good Fishin.

We fished this lake early last spring also. We did alright on the 'eyes but not as good as 5-7 years or so back. I do believe this lake has gotten ALOT of pressure the last so many years.. The bass are wild on this lake as mentioned. We will see what happens. I always try to get to new areas when I am out there, but then again the lake is only SO big

It gets a lot of hardwater pressure. Although most of the folks are fishing crappies then. The quality of crappies also vary a lot from year to year.
