Pheasant Feet

Just wondering what you guys do with the spurs or feet of a big pheasant? I always take them and cut them off right at the joint and then spread the toes and stand up the legs againts a wall or something and then put something heavy on the toes and then wait 2-3 weeks or untill the feet dry out and when they are dry they will stand up and you can set them in the garage or wherever.

Riverrat56, I've got a friend that folds over the outer "toes" and leaves the center one straight up! He mounts this on a finished off base. Something about a bird giving the "bird" a great conversation piece!!! grin.gif
