Anyone in the area looking to go fishing for a day or two? I'm home from College break got my own gear and am just looking for someone to maybe go fishing with for the day or so on. I fish anywhere around the DL area and am not afraid to travel a little bit to try a new lake. Reply back if anyone is interested it kinda sucks to come home because the folks don't fish and then all my friends have moved out of the area. Drop a line if interested.

I'm from Frazee/Detroit Lakes area. We have a Frazee address but Detroit Lakes phone number. Kinda messed up but what can a person do? I have my own portable and gear I'm just looking for someone to join me or I can tag along. I'm trying a little lake just a little east of Melissa tonight but I'm up for anything. Kinda gets a little boring when your out there by yourself. Usedto take the dog but he has been missing since Thanksgiving. Well you knew where I was fishing...Had to ask permission but aint going to state which lake online. Did decent ended up with a limit of sunfish and four crappies. probable got about 50 sunnies and about 10 crappies. Drop me a line if your interested in hooking up tomorrow afternoon. Folks and I are heading to Sand Bar for the evening so wont be up too early tomorrow. Keep me posted.

Did anyone bear the cold today and try it? Not enough snow on the lakes to build up my portable so I didn't think it was a wise decision to go freeze my glouts off just for a little bit of fishing. Better get going.

Was out around the ottertail area and yes was VERY windy and cold. Had to tie our portable to the 4 wheeler and trailer. Did manage a few crappies and some bluegills so it was worth it i think?? 15 below this morning wasnt much fun but not much wind so that was good. Kinda wish i would have taken my permanant but with the wind it would have taken 2 tanks of gas to get it there! Sure seems that the fish bite when its terribly cold.

went out yesterday on big pine. managed some perch, so we got some action. but man it was cold and windy. guy that i went with brought his son, all i had was my 2 man flip over. he came in for about an hour but was outside fishing for the other 4 hours, man he was nuts! i offered to let him in on a few occasions but he declined the offer. i don't think i would have made it 30 mins sitting outside!
