Ice Thickness

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how thick the ice is on some local lakes around the Duluth area, like Fish, Rice, Island, and any other lakes around the Duluth area that will be fishable for the weekend. I am not such a risk taker and like to have a good 4 + inches before you catch me out there. Replies are appreciated.

Fish Lake is good, there has been atv's and snowmobiles on it for over a week now. We were out on Sunday with 5-6" of ice on it. Not sure of Rice, there are other reports here in the Duluth forum that will give you info on that one as well as a Island lake thread. Also if you are in the area on Saturday we will be having a get together on Fish.
