Anyone know how the ice is there? I am curious if the east side is full of crushed and reforzen ice. We like to clear an area for skating but that might be tough if that wind blew in a ton of ice.

just a guess, but odds are likely the east shore got packed with chunks...lehomme dieu did...as well as the se half of geneva...

Just got the report from our neighbors an Amelia. It didn't freeze until Monday- smooth as glass. Villard has 9" of ice I was told already people are out there with permenant shacks --no one on Amelia yet.

I am heading to Hoffman for Christmas...will try fishing either Red Rock or VIllard...maybe Amelia...if the ice is good.

We are going to try to go up Sunday-Monday, if all goes as planned with extended family christmas celebrations. Which reminds me I need to get my shelter license!
