SHANTY SAFETY

I WAS THINKING OF KEEPING A SMALL SHANTY ON PRIOR THIS YEAR.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEFT OR VANDALS ON PRIOR? IT'S A LITTLE 2 MAN SET UP AND I WOULD'NT LEAVE ANYTHING IN IT, I ALSO THINK LOCKING IT WOULD BE A BAD IDEA.

DOES WASTEH20 OR KORNFISH KEEP A SHELTER OUT THERE?

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE SOMETHING I CAN JUST RUN OUT TO AFTER WORK OR ON WKNDS. TELL ME WHAT YA THINK OUT THERE.

I hadn't heard of any issues out there. One shack burned last year, but I thought I heard that it was intentionally set by the owner of the house.

wastewater has kept a simple 2-man set up out on prior in the past. I figure he will be out there again this year. I just had a portable last year. I might be keeping a shack out there this year, but with the forming of the ice this late I haven't made a final decision.

If you have nothing in it, I doubt you will have any issues. You might arrive and find someone fishing in it though.

KORN, ITS GOOD TO HEAR, I JUST PUT THE THING TOGEATHER FOR ABOUT 100 BUCKS SO IT WOULDNY BE A HUGE LOSS IF IT WERE DAMAGED. MORE TIME INVESTED THAN ANYTHING.

WILL I SEE YOU ON PRIOR THIS WKND? I STOPPED BY LAST SUNDAY AND SHE WAS WIDE OPEN. I'M TWITCHING PRETTY BAD. BEEN JIGGING IN THE SHANTY IN THE GARAGE, WIFE THINKS I'M NUTS.

ya it will be fine - i fished in wastewater's shack a few times last year when he was not around. we had 3 perms on the upper lake and had no issues last year.

that shack was set on fire by the owner (kids). dnr was not to happy about that one so i here.

good luck this weekend - walked out on good three inches last night. no fish but did not fish to hard - more checking ice then fishing. not sure buit i will most likly be on spring sat - want to learn more about winter on that lake. 7-11 - may hit you up for a report - if you want to stop by spring i will turn my radio on. good luck and be safe!
