Stopped by there Thur.morning, someone had walked out on the north end punching holes about 200 yds out, don't know if they fished or not but the ice cracked from the last hole all the way to shore. The east side public ramp didn't have any traffic at all that I could see.

I went out on green last night! I walked out from the north accses out to the dropp off. a good 4" of ice everywhere I checked. I tried fishing in 10 to 20 fow with no luck. looks like I have made it out farther than anyone so far. I would highly advise against using a snowmobile or atv untill we get some better ice!

does anyone know where to look for early ice eyes on green? what depths and presentation work best? for now I am stuck with areas walkable from the landing untill I can get my truck out there, so I can't get to the sunken island yet.
