Any gonna hit Madison this weekend? I think I am gonna give it a try if the ice holds up. Just gotta make it through one more final and then it's gonna be 'eye time.

I'm still a little nervous about going out on Madison, but I'm thinking about giving Lake Crytal a try tomorrow. Has anyone noticed anybody on the ice in the past couple of days in the area? I dont want to be the first brave soul to creep out there.

One loner out on Washington this morning way across from the Westwood access. I think he may have been a home owner there. Did not see any1 on Madison.

I might be coming up and giving Madison a try this weekend. If I do, (and I will be on there some time this winter,) I will let everyone know how I do. Last winter, I didn't get any walleye on Madison, but I got a bunch of crappie and perch, with a few sunnies thrown in.

If you're gonna try Madison this weekend, try fishing East Bay around Cow Bar. There should be good ice around there. It's always been a good producer for walleyes on early ice. Stop into the bait shop in Madison Lake and they can give you more info.

I live on madison and wouldn't recomend going out. walked out on the ice last night not enough for me and i am usually one of the first ones out there. be carefull and take your ice picks..
