6 walleyes 4 in the slot. Fished Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Pimples and fat heads. 8 ft. of water about 6 inches of ice and a foot of snow. Fished the south side by Denny's Great Trip!

I've went out of Denny's a few times the past few years. Always had good luck in that area. How far out can you go right now, and is ATV travel advised?

I'm thinking of maybe making a trip over to Winnie next weekend. I've been out of Denny's before so I am a little familiar with the area. Is the ice decent enough for a 4 wheeler to go out on? How far can you go out.

I walked out about 400 to 500 yds. There was a guy with a four wheeler out about as far as I was. Just take some time to ask the resort owners about the ice. They have a good handle on the lakes condition. Remember there is no safe ice.

Could someone give me directions from Hwy 2 to Denny's? I am thinking obout going up there next week.

From Highway 2? When you get to the town of Bena, you will see a large sign on the north side of the road for Denny's Resort. Turn there...that's their driveway.

Bobberboy, how was the fishing? Did you find any perch?

Denny's is very easy to find. Just on the East side of Bena. Did Denny's fix their driveway yet? Last year it was like driving through a plowed corn field. Also, am I the only one who thinks that that fish on their sign looks like a Walleye/eelpout crossbreed?

MasterGophHunter, I was on foot so moving was quite a chore. I didn't have any perch action at all. I heard that Bowens flats had a bit of action but it would have been a huge effort to get out there. 20 years ago, maybe.
