Culpeppers dance.

Man, I wish they wouldn't show Culpepper do that rediculous arm spinning, head bobbing, punching thing when they score, it's embarassing and he has nothing to be cocky about.

I commented on that earlier but the answer I received on that was how much more ridiculous it was that Farve raises his arm up in the air and races down to congratulate his receiver for making a remarkable catch. I agree it is embarrassing to watch. I know the term The Gov of California would call it.

At least we do not have to watch it in the second half anymore.

I think Tice and Linehan are also sick of it, they seem to want others to start throwing more passes.

Muskybuck, the reason people were saying what Farve did was rediculous also is there seems to be some blinders in GB about the stupid things the players do after they make a play. The GB fans do not seem to notice this stuff they only notice when other teams do it. Farves look of sheer surprise is better than Dauntes roll on.

I say cut em both.

I'm sure when the pro bowl ballots come out later in the year the better of those two QB's (this year) will be choosen to play in Hawaii... maybe both will go... but who will the starter be???? HMMMMM

Get your roll on boyz! P.S. Atleast he doesn't do the worm roll that Johnnie Morton does.... there would be an earthquake.

I have noticed there is a little more of that cra- going on in GB lately. I hope it is not catchy. I don't think I would cut either one of the QB's though.

That was pretty bad the other Monday night when that GB dude made a tackle, probably the only one he made all night, and then jumps around like he just won the superbowl, and then the announcers says your 35 points down you know. Now that was embarrassing. But then that wasn't the first time this year that GB has been embarrassing. When they look bad, nobody does it better. Sherman and Tice should be working on their resume's as far as I'm concerned!!

I just kind of wonder what in the world those players are getting (using) from the trainers sometimes.

Well, I'm guessing Mcnabb will start. Culpepper is having a better year, but Favre is more popular and has been doing it longer. Often these hall of fame games are based on popularity and longevity. How many times did Cal Ripkin keep going to the all star game at the end of his game?

What is it about footbal players and the celebration anyway? I don't recall seeing Barry Bonds dance after a home run, and Tori Hunter doesn't moonwalk when he pulls a homerun off the centerfield fence. What does Radke do after a strikeout to retire the side? He walks to the dugout. Those guys have class.

Barry bonds is one of the biggest hot dogs out there haven't you seen him stand at the plate to watch his home run or to have him stand on home plate and walk as slow as you can after a walk? Bob Gibson said if he had bonds do that to him he would throw the ball at his head and is surprised that pitchers don't do it today torii hunter and brad radke I agree with on being classy

Favre is not even close in the voting for the pro bowl if he is so loved and popular why isn't he in the pro bowl? it's mcnabb and culpepper for qb's and for the ripken comment cal ripken played in every all star game he was in the majors 1983-2001 so I don't know where you get your facts he also was the MVP in 2001 not bad the the end of his career

I've seen the slow walk that Bonds makes, but it's a far cry from the Roll On or any other football celebration I've seen. Bring back Barry Sanders. He scores, flips the ball to the official and jogs to the bench. You're a pro, act like one.

I admit Culpepper's arm roll is a bit annoying, but it doesn't compare to CC. He is probably the Viking that irritated me the most. Had Moss had someone else to mentor him, I think he would have matured a lot quicker than he did.

I was just thinking about that what you said about the Packer player, it was Nick Barnett (Im a Packer fan here)

but I was thinking just like the announcer why do you have to do that when your down by 35pts. I say make the tackle and get back in the huddle, no reason to celebrate. And just to tell you that wasnt his only tackle, he had 6 tackles, 8 assists and 1 sack for the game.

Really? I did not think the whole team made six tackles that game. By the way, I'm a packer fan too. Not a Sherman fan, but a packer fan.

mnvikingsfreak,

I think the Cal Ripken comment was intended to mean that even later in his career when his stats weren't as great he still got voted in which may happen to Favre.

Sorry to disagree guys. But if someone was paying me a gazillion dollars a year to play a game, even If i got run over every play, I would be the dancinest mofo you ever saw. I would dig myself out of the ground and go crazy back to the huddle. And the bank.

After one of Culpeppers touchdown passes last week the camera switched to Culpepper as he was running to get in front of a TV camera to do his dance for the TV viewers. That pretty much proved to me what his priorities are as far as a team player goes!! Can you imagine Peyton Manning doing something like that?

C'mon, you know white men can't dance! Peyton would be doing the bus driver or the sprinkler if he could.... with Duante it's not like he's spiking the ball at the feet of the defender he just beat... thats downright rude... getting your roll on 30 yards away from the play is not rubbing it in or unsportsmanlike in any way. I guess we just have to agree to disagree if you dislike the Vikes that much.

P.S. Ihear the vikes may sign Donovan Darius next year.

Musky,

Was he running to find a camera or was he running to the bench where he always goes and the cameras found him? I think you may have your perspective altered by your bias. The camera always finds Farve running around but that is probably just because the whole world loves him, right? Do you think it is because Duante and Farve are premier players and the cameras want to see their reactions to plays? Grab some perspective on you bias.

He can do whatever he wants after he throws a td.

Did golden boy even throw a td last week or just the 7 picks, what is that 17 ints on the season. Sounds like the best ever qb #'s to me.

Tice just sent darius the key to the city. Culpeper will be going to the Pro bowl but I doubt Favray will. Which seems wierd since everyone who knows what a football is thinks Favray is the best qb ever.

Or is the Pro bowl a popularity contest?

Sorry, I don't think he is the greatest, but he will go down as one of the greatest NFL QB's of all time. The numbers he has put up show the facts. I have no doubt, also that if they have prolonged careers Manning and Culpepper will be right there with him if not ahead of him in a lot of numbers.

Leave to a Vikings fan not to recognize a great QB when they see one, heck, you still have fans in this state that think Frerotte should be starting over Culpepper every time C-Pep has an off game.

Farve WAS one of the best qb's in the game.

Leave it to a packer fan to think that how good a player used to be will win you games this year.

Ferrotte I have not heard much about him this year. He played 2 games last year and threw for about 400 yds in each game. Culpeper has not had many off games this year.

That's why I said all time. When Farve does hang it up and people look back at his full career he will be considered on of the best qb's in the game, as will Manning and Culpepper.

Meanwhile he is still the starting QB and in the NFL for the most part QB's are suppose to win games for you. That's why they paid the most. Yes there are games in which the Packers lose that are directly related to Farves performance on the field, but there are also still games, which because of Farve the Packer win. That being said, I need to say that in my opinion the reason the Packer have been able to continue winning the past 3-4 seasons is NOT because of Farve, but because of our offensive line and the running of Ahman Green.

I can see from your standpoint how you question Packer fans and their love affair with Farve, but he has played 12 years for the organization and has brought them to a new level of play and expectations. Getting him from Atlanta is probably the second most important player move the Packers made in recent times, being second only to the free agent signing of Reggie White.

Give it some time and I'm sure you will be feeling the same way about Moss and Culpepper at the end of their careers. Assuming your ownership doesn't screw Minnesota fans over and move the team elsewhere. Moss proababy, or at least should, go down as the greatest WR to play the game.

What in the world has Culpepper done that would classify him as one of the greatest of all time. That is just ridiculous.

Down to Earth,

I know it should be spelled Farve but for some reason the guy spells it Favre. Favre might be OK but he's no Spurgeon Winn.

I once heard the vikings announcers claim that Jeff George was one of the NFL's most prolific passer of all time. I think that if one puts on a purple jersey, then automatically you become one of the greatest of all time. That's how.

I've also heard rumblings from winter park that Les Steckle be nominated to the hall of fame.

He may not be there yet, but I think by the the time Culpepper hangs it up he will be. I think he will eventually win a Super Bowl and numbers wise, I think at the end of his career he will rank near the top of many categories. Assuming he stays healthy and his career isn't cut short by injury.

Usually with my typing, I'm always trying to figure if Im punching the keys right or not. So sometimes you get Farve and other times you get Favre. Maybe from here on out I should just refer to him as #4.

Boy, you guys sure got a Favre complex. I think Culpepper needs a few, not one, a few, MVP's before he can be called great at anything. (except dancing for the camera) Culpepper might win a super bowl but what team it will be for is the question.
