I am also curious about the area.I am thinking about checking on my cabin plus if I don't go ice fishing this weekend . I am scared about what I will do. tongue.giftongue.giftongue.gif

well I am not sure about those lakes.. but fox just west or willow I guess has 5 inchs as of last week and third lake has 4 1/2...

Most lakes around the area have 2"-6" depending on the lake. I don't think I have heard of any lakes with more than 5"-6". Be careful and check the ice on the way out.

I put a small house on Sturgeon on Wed.,off of the public access. There is 8'' of ice about 200 yards out,then where the wind broke it up earlier it is only 2" so be very careful. I can't get past the weedline yet so only catching northerns. Maybe in the next few days. smile.gif

Thanks for the updates. I am planning on coming up later this week and giving it a run up there. Hopefully we get some cold nights to make a little big more ice.

I am going to try a little lake around there call Mcormick lake... also known as third... will post monday... I was told that it holds nice sunnies,crappies and pike... but I noticed that not to many people fish it....
