(Contact US Regarding This Word) Jiffy

Recommended Posts

What is the deal with the Jiffy model 30. I have had my auger for about 7 years and it has NEVER statrted on the first couple of pulls. I need to lean on the stupid thing to cut ...

I picked up one of those "ripper" blades for it, I think that will help. It better for $39.

Anybody have any ideas? I had a small engine guy look at it and now it is worse, I think. When it is COLD, it takes about 40-50 pulls. I am NOT kidding.

HELP.

I don't have the problems with starting it, but I agree about having to lay on the thing just so it'll cut. Even with new blades you have to put alot of pressure to get it to cut, I am having serious thoughts about selling it and getting a strikemaster.

I used to have an old Jiffy. It was great, just prime it until it dripped gas and it would start in two pulls or less. Got a new one ( a couple of years ago) and they put gaskets in the thing. Half the time I flood it not knowing when it's properly primed. I used to have to lean on mine too. I took the blades off and sharpened them and that helped. You can't use a wheel type grinder. My Dad has a belt type grinder at the Tastee Freez in Pelican that I used. I'm too broke to try different augers so I just keep piddling with the one I have.

Okay, fellas. We are all big boys and some big girls.

Since when is the four-letter word that rhymns with Jam a swear word. I think that is a word-of-the-day on the Wiggles.
