carls lake in scott county?

any body been by carls lake (south of prior lake) the past day. how does it look. this lake is usually the first lake to freeze over in the area.

have not been there myself but when i was at the hardware store monday night they said there were a few out fishing that night. on about 2.5 inches. not sure how it looks now but it sounds like if you are willing you can make it. good luck

Are there any northerns in carls lake

A guy came into the bait shop at gander mtn. in lakeville.

He had just caught an 12lb Northern. Use shiners, then suckers, 4 to 6 inch baits can get you the better fish.

Is there enough ice on carls lake to fish safely.

i would have to say be very carefull. carls does ice up fast but we have had so much warm rainy weather that personaly i am staying away untill we get cold again. the ice on spring is almost all gone - let alone safe to walk. think i may be in the canoe on spring in the nice warm temps they are talking about for saturday

I had mine on buffalo lake last weekend got a nice walleye.

I will be at ganders bait shop in morning, open at 5:00 am.

Mike if you come in i'll show you where i've caught some nice fish.

Got out on spring and boated a few nice crappies yesterday. I was thinking of heading out today, but changed my mind when I saw the wind out there whooooo! mabye I will get out again next week....

I guess I wouldn't plan on going on the ice anywhere around the south metro. Went by Carl's Lake on Saturday...wide open water!

cyberfish - seen you out sat. thought about it but never made it out myself.

wind sure was bad sunday but when i left this moring some ice had started to form by shore on spring. access looked frozen up again as well. wish it would stay cold long enought to get some flags out but from the sounds of things its getting warm out again
