Is there any on Bowens, or out from Sunset view yet? Anyone know? Anywhere else (west winnie?) Coming up north this weekend but I'm not hopeful for fishing at this point. What's the forecast up there for the week?

There are many spear houses on Bowens Flat and along the gap. Several that appear not to far from the old river channal. Had a friend that walked out on Bowens Perch fishing yesterday and reported back that he found 4 inches where he went. Also had some guys in this morning that fished Macavity bay yesterday and found about the same. Bill Powell

There were two groups from waterville mn. who were at third river, northwest end of winnie spear fishig over the weekend, they both said the ice was 4-5ins. just watch where you go, they also reported they saw a lot of n. pike
