Lowrance X100C locator

Question

Does anyone have any first hand experience with these units? I found a great deal on a new one, but would like to check first to see if people are happy with them. Any input would be appreciated.

I purchased the 300C,the same as the 100c except with the gps system. The color trails are awesome. I paid $600 at Fleet Farm. Great unit! Maybe you should consider this unit if a gps is in the future. Good fishing DrJ.

This is a really good unit. The only problem I had with it was with polarized glasses (it acts as a filter. You have to focus harder to get the detail). I think all color units have this drawback now. I believe it's not as bad as some other color units. I just got used to taking my glasses off when I needed to.

I would buy one again tomorrow if I had the choice to make again.

Thanks guys, I have been looking at them long and hard, and finally made the comittment at the ice show. Reeds brought some down with them, and the deal they gave me, I just could not pass up.

I also have a Lowrance X100C for open water and I would like to know if it holds up well in the winter conditions. Do I need a bullet transducer for ice?
