1st trip to Red Lake!

I am planning my 1st trip to red lake in about a month. I was mostly wondering if there is any camp sites that are open during the winter season. I am willing to stay at a resort's campsite or even a public area of woods with campsites. I was also wondering if the hotels are usually booked in january on a friday night. Any info is greatly appreciated. Cant wait to get up there.
