Ice Conditions?

What does the ice condition look like up there? Do you think that there is going to be 2-3 inches by this weekend? If so, what are some good walleye lakes that will have enough ice? Thanks for the input...

big.... theres about 3 inches on Reno...and some nice fish have come out.. only on the north end...will be pretty packed by the weekend i suspect. Mid 40 degree forecast doesn't look good for much more ice in the area. Chain lakes are wide open. Mary might have a little ice on the south end. will drive around today and take a little ice inventory.

they've been fishing on Reno the last 2-3 days. Adley, up by Parkers Prairie has had fishermen since the weekend.

Any idea on how Irene is doing for ice? Would like to head up there for some fishing.

I'll check today...has been windy and not very cool last few nights....i don't expect much ice...

no ice on irene....pretty good chop keeping it open.

Reno is capped over...might be a bit of open water on the southeast end. Stopped by there this afternoon and there were half a dozen portables scattered off the hwy 29 access. 3-4 inches reported...

little mary looks to have some fishable ice too...

use CAUTION at all times, but particularly with early ice...temps in the mid 40's for the weekend could open up some spots....be careful all....even an 8 lb walleye isn't worth your life/health....

Well, I am thinking about making a trip up there this weekend and wondering if the smaller lakes have fishable ice yet? Also, does anyone know if Osakis has any ice on it. Thank for the input.

No ice on Osakis! Talked to my brother that lives up there, and he said all the ice that was on the north end is gone now!

We need an arctic blast!

No ice down here. I was thinking of heading up to Alex next weekend, but it doesn't sound like that will be an option either--where is the winter?

out scouting again today and didnt find any more ice then a week ago. did catch one guy coming off little mary, 3-5 inches he said. little mary is only half froze it self with open water on the east half of the bay.

forcast is for the same weather we have now right through the weekend, maybe next week.
