12 volt battery

CRAPPIEBAIT

Question

I just purchased a new "Automatic Trickle Charger" for my batteries. On the box it states to use on "Gel Cell & Flooded batteries.Perfect for your RV,Motorcycle & ATV'S."

WELL my batteries say they are lead acid.Anyone know if this charger will ruin them? It is for 12v,1-12amp.

It won't. I thingk they are saying "for use on gel-cell" because you don't want to put a 10amp charger on your gel cell battery. I have used an extra trickle charger on my boat starting battery over the winter for years. Never noticed a problem.

I think that a lead acid battery would be considered a flooded battery. Although I could be wrong.

I have had one on my motorcycle for two years now.

My word of advice is to check the fluid levels a little more often because the constant trickle evaporates the water / acid quicker.
