Ice report

When and checked some ice around Duluth lakes. These are from Saturday. Remember these readings are near shore.

Island Lake about 1 inch

Fish lake was about 3/4 of an inch

Caribou was about 2 inches

Walked out on Caribou about 20 ft. Also noticed there was some guy out there skating on it.

Hopefully safe enough by Saturday the 4th?

nunnu, if you remember, that was the day i predicted(DEC. 4th) im stickin to it. hopefully we can get out on that "special" little lake you were telling me about. hope to see you at the BV tomorrow night. of course i'll be workin.

Good to see you dropping in and thanks for the ice report nunnu. Last night we had some cold temps here and the small lake I'm on has 2.5" A few more cold nights and my fishing gear is going fishing.

I was at Chub lake in Carlton over the weekend. Had about 2 inches.

Anybody been out to check Boulder latley? Just wonderin if that may be fishable around friday or sat. Thanks Cameron

a group of us were up on maple lake near alborn this past weekend. hard as tried we could not get the two inches to break by jumping on it. needed to take an axe to the ice to break open a hole. probably should have mentioned that we were doing fire training with a new ice rescue sled we bought. slick item, you can use it on ice or water to pull a some-one who has fallen throught the ice. hopfully we will never have to use it for that reason, but nice to know we have just in case.
