I live in Iowa but like to fish the P.R. area lakes. Hope to be able to get up in December for some ice fishing. Would appreciate any updates on lake ice conditions around P.R. Thanks.

just started freezing over this weekend. shoud be enough ice by mid to late december.

checked dead lake, about 3-4" on the shoreline, wasn't gutsy to walk a little further.

fished lower twin this weekend,4 or 5 inches of good ice

  lol! Good one! I did grill a section of venison hind quarter that I normally cut into steaks though. No BBs or bullet frags were found - that I know of! This stuff disappears fast from the serving table. Marinade injected with some rub on the outside. Grilled MR and sliced for serving after the rest.
