I'm getting a FL 18, and would like to know, What is the best Degree of Cone for the Ice ducers?

I believe if money isnt an object, get the 9/19, if you dont want to spend the $ for the duo, go with the 12 deg.

I have the 12, works great, not to wide and not too narrow.

Here's my opinion on the matter:

If you like to chase lakers or other very deep water fish, I'd definitely go with Minne's suggestion and get the 9/19. If you generally fish shallower than 30 feet, I'd go with a 19. If you may be fishing a little deeper a little more often, I'd get the 12.

Here is my opinion.. When you are ice fishing you only jig below your hole.. Depending on your visibility, fish are not going to see your presentation too far off... so useing a wider angle doe you no good other than getting you more frusterated seeing the fish that you cant get to bite.. LOL...

The only fish you are worried about are the ones near your bait anyhow. Hummmmm .. food for thought.. Is it winter yet?????????

Thanks guys. I think I'll stick with the 12 degree the unit will come with. Ive read other poeples opinion on other sites as well, and came to the conclusion that the 12 degree is just fine. Kinda the middle of the ground between the 9/19.

Little detroit is froze now, and would image another couple days and the riskier one will be on it.
