Walleye classic slot impact

Recommended Posts

For those of you that fish in the walleye classic, what do you think the new proposed slot limit will do to the tournament. I may not fish it if the changes are made and have been hearing from others that they also will not fish in the classic if it passes. The 18 to 28 inch slot is the concearn- not the 4 fish limit

I think a protected slot may help the lake, not the turnament. Even with a slot, that will not stop me from doing the turney. What will and has, is the hefty 5 bills it takes to do it. Then to watch the locals and the pros win year after year. The Ice Series at Winnie is looking pretty good the more I think about it........ and wow at a wapping 15 bucks. I can taste the perch fry now!

Just remember it was not a local or a pro stepping across the stage with the biggest bag of fish on day 2 last year- now we just need to work on day one. If only the fish gods and the DNR cooperate. I can remember fishing this same tourney 15 years ago and being skunked some days. And fish still came across the scales. No doubt the locals have the advantage- It will make it that more rewarding when you or I tip the scales

I hear ya kevfish. Would be nice.

But I cant help but wonder if Me and my partner would get more enjoyment fishing (not in the turney)

Good luck next year if I chose not to do it again.

If I do, do it, I will be on your butt!!!! LOL grin.gif
