Hello all,

Any news on the development? I was just reading the proposed reg changes for 06 and thought about this thread. These types of developments bother me a lot more and wonder how I can help.

The Arrowhead Chapter of Muskies Inc has written a letter to the DNR expessing our concerns about the 3 Bay's project. Much of it has to do with a loss of critical habitat along the shoreline zone of this proposed development.

Hi all,

I just noticed the EIS Scoping document on the St. Louis county website. It looks like the next public meeting about the Three Bays development is March 17th.

There is some good news on the development front.

USX must pay $250,000.00 for an EIS before any of their proposals will be acepted for development.

This study will surely ad some ammunition for the local DNR and slow this project down.

There will be a public meeting concerning the 3 bays project on March 17th in Biwabik at the city hall. The meeting starts at 1:00pm I believe.

Be there if you can!!

Good to bring the backgourd up to those who are new to this .

A quick synapse of past comments is that most of us on this forum never liked the "Three Bays" project. But it seems like no matter what any one did or said that was against the development , it didn't matter as it seemed that the big money and US Steel would get there way.

Hats off to the Gov. Pallenty for stepping up and suggesting that the area should be turned into a State park. A breath of fresh air from the MN Gov. Thanks to Gov. Pallenty for bringing forth the idea that the Three bays area should be turned into a State park. . For a change, Government is on our side.
