Silly question about steel shot

Just wondering, if one was hunting with steel shot in a mine dump or similarly rocky area, would one have to worry about ricochets? Has anyone had any experience with this?

Not trying to get into lead vs. steel or anything, I'm just wondering if steel shot has much potential to ricochet off of rocks. Thanks.

steel will definatly richochet more than lead, if your shooting at a rocky backgroud use SAFETY GLASSES. also use smaller shot, carries less energy per pellet both ways. try to keep your shot at 30 yards or longer on rabbits and grouse and any pellets that do come back at you will sting some but PROBABLY won't break through your clothes or skin. just protect your eyes.
