Time to put the boat away!

Recommended Posts

Well I put the boat away for the winter, at least until February-March (River Walleyes). Sad to see it end, it was a great season. There are still a few boats on the water but the bite hasn't sounded too exciting. Time to get ready for the Ice fishing season. Well if it's as busy as last season I'll have my work cut out for me. Time to stock the shelves with all the new portables, augers and tackle. Lets hope for cold weather and hungry fish.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Never quit until the ice is to thick to break with your boat! I like Ice fishing too but there is plenty of open water left.

Take it easy,

I'm with Corey on this one. Last year I backed my trailer on to the ice at Cass Lake hoping that I could break through. It didn't work! So I just drove until I found some open water somewhere else. Then after all the lakes froze up, I had to get the boat wet one more time so I put it in the river. I had to break through a little ice out there as well. But how can you put the boat away knowing that you can't even ice fish yet? I guess you're one of the more normal people out there. Glad to say I'm not normal!
