I would love to come, but this is my first weekend home in what seems like months. I dont think the wife would be too happy, since Muzzleloader starts next weekend, and I'll be up there another 3 weekends in a row. grin.gif

I hear ya bub, I'm in the same boat. We've been remodeling our basement for what seems like an eternity, and I have not touched it since duck opener. Now ML is looming, and first ice action. I gues the basement is not going anywhere, LOL.

The Warden, Yardape and I are gonna fly to Chicago next Thursday and come home on Saturday. I agreed to this before I knew it was ML opener. DOH! I should be home in time for an evening hunt, I hope.

Wish I could have made it, but duck hunting got in the way. the guy who owns the lot next to my folks called me up to remind me what day it was, he and his kids just got back from their annual elk hunt, but I had a date with a corn field out west and had to do my part to short stop a few mallards.

Hope it went well for you all.

BarTender -

Thanks!

It went very well. We served 149 meals, which is about as many people we care to have in that venue, but still have room to operate. With all of our comittee members and helpers, we probably had around 170 folks attend. Very good turnout indeed, and a lot of new faces this year.

Once again, I got shut out in the gun dept.

Hope to see you there next year.

I told Dick Tranna to always remind me the week or so befor the event to see where I'll be, and if I'm in the area, I'll buy a ticket and show up. I almost made it last year, but had something else going on, maybe another Hot mallard field. I'll make one of them some day soon.
