Possible state record

A guy I used to work with got a buck on sat morning that green scored 215 typical. Havn't got to see it or pictures of it yet, he's kinda being real secritive about it. I've known the guy who did the scoring for a while and he's not into streatching the truth. Wondering what the record is and how much shrinkage the rack will take.

I don't care what the state record is or how much 'shrinkage' occurs on your buddies buck, if it is anywhere close, it just beat my best buck times 3-4 in B&C points.

I really wish they would have said more specificly where that buck was shot. I hunt north of duluth and I sure am curious, not that I would change my hunting spot. I am just curious.

215!!!!That would be a world record if it clears P&Y panel scoring.

Milo Hanson's buck of canada is the world record typical scoring 213 and change.

I seen the score sheet on the deer after deductions it's under 200 pts green. Still a darn nice 12 pt. buck.

Dan wood didn't read your post til i put this one on. The 12 point I'm talking of when I started the topic is typical. Not as big as first heard of though. That is how local gosip is though.

That last photograph with the young kid was shot last year in Iowa. The deer was taken with a bow and scored 253 1/8 and I believe is the Iowa state bow record. Unfortantely, I also believe someone broke into the kid's house and stole the deer mount. I believe it still hasnt been recovered.

I was thinking the same thing. When I first started to see the pics I was thinking the IA deer was just more pics of the Duluth deer.

I dont think I would pass on either of them two deer. A shame someone would steal a mount such as that from someone, let alone a teenager.

psegriz-- that guy is my cousin's boyfriend, his dad and mine went to school together, I saw the deer at his place a couple hours after he shot it, it is truly a monster, most likely will be #2 in the state for typical.
