november crappies

Recommended Posts

I was out there this weekend. On saturday I fished martha with nothing to show for it at all. On sunday I was on sarah.

This time of year I have stopped(pretty much) focusing on bass and only focusing on sunnies/crappies. I spent about 5 hours fishing the deep drop near the landing with the following results:

depth technique bait

9-30 ft lindy rig(spinner) minnow/worm

9-30 ft lindy rig(float) minnow/worm

9-30 ft lindy rig(bare hook) minnow/worm

all with no fish

2-14 ft bobber minnow/worm

no fish

-8-30 feet a walleye(green) jig and worm no fish

finally ended up catching a bunch of fertiziler fish(perch) using a green walleye jig and minnow in 17.4 feet of water.

I am thinking the crappies are headed toward the winter holes on sarah by the landing. Any suggestions on my thought process or ideas where to chase some crappies.

I will be out again both saturday and sunday. If you are out stop and say hi.
